Ultra-nano Alumina Sol(ASOL-2)

This product, featured with good dispersity and stability, good high temperature resistance (>1700℃), high bonding strength, fast baking, high middle and high temperature strength, and good thermal shock resistance, is divided into two brands: ASOL-1 and ASOL-2.

ASOL-2, with specific gravity of 1.3-1.4, is used to produce monolithic refractories, such as castables, repairing mix and gunning mix. In corundum based castables, cement binder introduces CaO, which affects the high temperature performance. As the binder, ASOL-2 almost introduces no impurities; its Al2O3 colloid promotes sintering and improves high temperature performance. In addition, compared to cement, ASOL-2 can be fast baked and is especially suitable to precast blocks for areas endured high temperature fluid erosion. When applied in repairing materials, ASOL-2, featured with good adhesion, fast rising strength, and high hot strength, is particularly suitable for key parts such as copper taphole and iron taphole.
