Ultra-nano Alumina Sol(ASOL-1)

This product, featured with good dispersity and stability, good high temperature resistance (>1700℃), high bonding strength, fast baking, high middle and high temperature strength, and good thermal shock resistance, is divided into two brands: ASOL-1 and ASOL-2.

ASOL-1 with specific gravity of 1.5, is used to produce non-basic machine pressing unfired products such as high chrome bricks (Cr2O3 > 85 wt%), high alumina bricks, lining bricks for ladles, stoppers and long nozzles, submerged entry nozzles, and various corundum based bricks. As the binder of high chrome bricks, ASOL-1 has superior properties than phosphoric acid and aluminium dihydrogen phosphate. With ASOL-1, the high chrome brick has better shaping ability and high hot strength. For machine pressing unfired products, the ASOL-1 addition is 4.5 wt%－5 wt%. After drying at 100 ℃ for 48 h, the product strength can exceed 100 MPa and the products can be put into use. During service, with temperature rising, ASOL-1 can promote the sintering of unfired bricks, endowing the brick with high strength at middle and high temperatures. Sintering of refractory products with ASOL-1 is unnecessary, which simplifies technology, cuts cost and enhances competitive power of the manufacturer greatly.
