1、Instruction of ZPX-3

This binder is a composite gel powder. It produces no harmful smoke and dust during manufacture and application, which meets the environmental protection requirements in China and overseas.

The bonding mechanism of the product is as follows. When the baking temperature is higher than 200 ℃, the binder melts forming a network or interpenetrating ceramic bonding phase, endowing the dry mix with sufficient demoulding strength; the ceramic bonded phase also ensures the strength at medium baking temperatures (~ 1100 ℃) as well as the high temperature performance.

2. Compared with resin, the binder has the following characteristics:

(1) Environmental protection: there is no irritating toxic smell when baking;

(2) The demoulding strength is high enough;

(3) No ease to collapse: the strength at medium temperatures is obviously higher than that of the resin bonded products;

(4) Less carbon pick up to molten steel;

(5) Easy to turn over the ladles;

(6) Low cost.

3、Application Instruction

(1) For ZPX-3, the recommended addition is 2.5-3.5%, and the specific addition depends on the formulation (such as the particle size).

(2) The dry mix adopting ZPX-3 shall be rammed densely and baked at 200℃ above for 2-3 h.

The package has two layers, an outer moisture-proof woven bag and an inner plastic lined bag. One bag of the product weighs 25kg.

In order to keep the product for a long time, it is suggested that the original packaging should not be replaced, and the outer packaging should be well protected to reduce the impact of external moisture on the product storage period.

Product storage and shelf life: ZPX-3 shall be stored in dark and dry conditions, and the shelf life is more than 5 months.

Testing method of dry mix

Stir the dry mix binder (~ 5%) with other magnesia raw materials and mix them evenly. Then, put the well stirred material into a 40 × 40 × 160 triple mold. Load the material to the 2/3 height of the mold, use a scraper to insert into the loaded material in the mold along the mold wall or around to release the gas trapped. After that, vibrate the mold back and forth by hands for several times, and flatten the surface of the material. Then place a wood or iron piece with size of 40mm × 40mm × 160mm on the material, and knock with a hammer to compact the loaded material. After that, roughen the compacted material suurface, and then fill the mold with the remaining material. Finally, place wood or iron pieces on the material, and hammer tightly.

Place the rammed material in an oven, raise the temperature to 250 ℃ and hold for 1-2 h.
